Spiro machine manufacturers

When sourcing a spiral duct forming machine, you must prioritize strip thickness capacity (typically 0.4mm to 1.2mm) and diameter range (standard 80mm to 1500mm). Ensure the machine utilizes a high-frequency hydraulic cutting system or a slitting saw for burr-free edges. The forming speed should ideally reach 35-60m/min to ensure production efficiency. Additionally, verify the PLC control system brand (e.g., Schneider or Delta) to ensure long-term software stability and ease of operation.

For global trade, the machine must carry a CE Certification to meet European safety, health, and environmental requirements. If exporting to North America, look for UL-listed electrical components. Furthermore, ensure the manufacturer adheres to ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems to guarantee that the mechanical tolerances and assembly quality are consistent across batches.

Buyers should choose between fixed molds (steel rings) and adjustable strip molds. Fixed molds offer higher precision and faster setup for standard sizes, while adjustable molds provide greater flexibility for custom diameters. High-quality molds should be made of Cr12MoV steel with vacuum quenching treatment to ensure a hardness of HRC58-62, significantly extending the service life and reducing replacement costs.

Spiral ducts are primarily used in HVAC ventilation systems, industrial dust extraction, and material conveying. Because of their superior airtightness and structural strength, they are the preferred choice for large-scale projects like airports, shopping malls, and chemical plants. Understanding the end-use helps in selecting the right seam type (standard lock or reinforced) required for the pressure environment.

Always request a FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) video showing the machine producing ducts at maximum and minimum diameters. For high-value equipment, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the mechanical alignment and electrical wiring before final payment. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone verified on-site inspections.

Do not just negotiate on the unit price; negotiate on the spare parts package. Request an extra set of forming rollers, cutting blades, and seals to be included in the price. Additionally, link the final 30% payment to the provision of the Bill of Lading and a successful pre-shipment inspection report to maintain leverage.

Spiro machines are heavy and sensitive to moisture. Insist on vacuum plastic packaging combined with seaworthy wooden crates (IPPC fumigated). Ensure the machine is bolted to the base of the container using steel wires to prevent shifting during maritime transit. For shipping to landlocked regions, clarify the Incoterms—DAP or DDP are often preferred for buyers who want the supplier to handle complex inland customs clearance.

Ensure the contract specifies remote technical support via video call with a guaranteed 24-hour response time. Since sending technicians overseas is costly, confirm if the supplier provides detailed installation videos and English-language manuals. Ask if they have a global DHL/FedEx account to expedite the delivery of critical components under the 1-2 year warranty period.
