Bag handle chain manufacturers

B2B buyers should prioritize Zinc Alloy or Solid Brass for premium durability and weight. Zinc alloy is favored for its excellent electroplating properties, allowing for a smooth, mirror-like finish. For budget-friendly or lightweight applications, Aluminum or Iron chains are common, but iron must be treated with anti-rust coatings to prevent oxidation during maritime transit.

Ensure the supplier uses Rack Plating rather than Barrel Plating for a more uniform and high-end appearance. The finish should pass a 24 to 48-hour Salt Spray Test to guarantee corrosion resistance. Additionally, request an Acid-Resistant Coating (Lacquering) to prevent the metal from tarnishing when in contact with skin oils or perfumes.

Verify the Wire Diameter (typically 2mm to 8mm) and the Tensile Strength to ensure the chain can support the intended bag weight without deforming. For luxury goods, check for Seamless Welding on individual links to prevent snagging on delicate fabrics like silk or wool. Ensure all components are Lead-free and Nickel-free to comply with international health standards.

Confirm the End Attachment Type, such as lobster claws, D-rings, or screw-in shackles. Suppliers on Made-in-China.com often provide Custom Lengths (standard is 120cm for crossbody) and Adjustable Buckles. Request CAD drawings or physical samples to verify that the inner diameter of the attachment fits the bag's grommets or loops.

Color shading is a common risk in metal hardware. You should provide a physical master sample or a specific Pantone/Color Code to the supplier. Require a Pre-Production Sample (PPS) for approval and mandate that the bulk production must match the PPS within a 95% color similarity threshold under standard D65 lighting.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for instance, a 5,000-unit order should yield a 15-20% discount compared to the 500-unit price. Negotiate for Free Spare Parts (usually 1-2% extra links or clasps) to account for potential defects. Always use Trade Messenger to document all technical specifications and lead time commitments.

Bag chains are heavy and prone to scratching each other. Insist on Individual Polybag Packaging for each chain to prevent friction damage. For bulk shipping, use Double-Walled Corrugated Cartons with a weight limit of 15-20kg per box to prevent box bursting. Ensure the use of Desiccants (Silica Gel) inside the packaging to prevent moisture-induced tarnishing during sea freight.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. Hire a Third-Party Inspection (TPI) service to conduct a 'During Production' or 'Pre-Shipment' inspection, focusing on quantity verification, plating thickness, and pull-test performance.
